Holy Goat Blood Reign
Description
Brewed in collaboration with our pals at Radical Way Brewing (Cyprus), this Flanders Red inspired sour beer is a blend of 70% provision strength ‘young’ stock beer brewed aged in a stainless steel for six months. A portion of around 30% ‘mature’ stock beer was aged in red wine barrels which had been soaked with Commandaria, a Cypriot dessert wine with history dating back to the Crusades.
The resultant blend was fermented and conditioned on dried figs for a further month. The resulting beer has a complex vinous character, along with notes of stewed plums, dates, fig and balsamic vinegar.
Drink young or age, this will get weirder.
