This Spéciale Belge beer is locally recognised as ‘The taste of Antwerp’ and can be found throughout the city, in every bar, cafe and pub, being enjoyed by locals in riverside terraces. The beer was so-named Bolleke after the bowl-shaped glass in which it’s served. Pouring clear amber with a cream-coloured head, De Koninck Bolleke has a malty, slightly hoppy character with hints of caramel and cinnamon. It’s traditionally brewed using water, yeast, 100% pure malt and hops, with no added maize or brewing sugar.
